Essentials MDM 5.33.0: - Campaigns approach With 5.33 version we have introduced Campaigns approach (now in BETA). Main purpose of it is to provide single point to check the status of the bulk operation. At first stage there is Zebra OTA updates operation support. Administrator can easily select firmware update, select devices and track the status of campaign execution. In case of any issue, administrator can go to the device details and check detailed status. Campaigns are added as a standalone tab next to the Devices, Users, Applications, Configurations and Policies. In upcoming versions of Essentials MDM we will introduce scheduling options and add there new operation types like: application / configuration installation, Samsung E-FOTA updates. With embedded key, all premium KSP features are now available without need to provide - Preview of the latest Samsung KSP feedback and changes that were made in KSP configuration. It is now possible to review the latest changes in KSP configuration based on received feedback from the device. - Google SafetyNet Attestation API migration to Play Integrity API As announced by Android, Play Integrity API will replace SafetyNet Attestation API on January 31, 2024. All features are still supported, no change on client side is required. - Android 14 security restrictions: - Disallow config default applications Available from Android 14, in policies: fully managed, BYOD/WPC, COSU. When set, Default app settings are locked on the device. - Disallow Ultra-Wideband(UWB) Available from Android 14, in policies: fully managed, WPC, COSU (not available for BYOD devices). When set, Settings → Connected devices → Connection preferences → Ultra-wideband(UWB) option on the device will be turned off. - Disallow cellular 2G Available from Android 14, in policies: fully managed, WPC, COSU (not available for BYOD devices). When set, 'Allow 2G' option is blocked on the device. - Disable all keyguard shortcuts Available from Android 14, in fully managed policies only. When enabled keyguard shortcuts are not visible on the device. - 'Disable managed networks settings change' in fully managed and BYOD / WPC policies extended by status bar option handling The option to block the mobile network configuration on Samsung devices in the network policy can now also block the disable mobile data option in the status bar on the device. - Possibility to remove the wallpaper on Android devices - iOS agent 4.1.1 version with: - Contacts synchronization operation Contacts sync settings from the policy can be now applied on iOS / iPadOS devices. - Support for the zoom mode on the device - Support for the landscape mode - macOS agent 4.1.0 version with: - Support for the macOS 14 Sonoma - Remote Access support with screen, mouse and keyboard events Option available when Remote Access is enabled in the policy. MacOS Remote Access is currently available for devices running macOS 13 (Ventura) and above. Feature works for: - Mac minis connected to a 4K display, - Macbooks work using the built-in display Remote Access supports keyboard and mouse interaction, though limited: - Currently certain keyboard keys are not supported: Quotes (“ , '), Lefthand backward slash/pipe (\ , |), the arrow keys and the numpad section - Keyboard modifier long press (ALT/Option) doesn't seem to work well - Mouse double-clicks are not handled currently - Mouse dragging (cannot move windows) does not work.
