User Authorization WebView
It is now possible to enable user authorization during zero-touch, Device Owner/ BYOD QR and Apple DEP enrollments! User Authorization WebView will now recognize if the device can be enrolled.
In addition, when the SAML integration is active in organization, users are able to log in using credentials or SAML - for example Azure AD that we integrated with in the previous system version, FAMOC manage 5.17.
The option "User authorization required" is available when using the "Add single device" method or in zero-touch/ DEP integrations.
User authorization WebView is currently supported on:
/ QR enrollment (COBO) for Android 8+ devices,
/ QR enrollment (BYOD/WPC) for Android 10+ devices,
/ QR enrollment (BYOD) for Android 6+ devices,
/ DEP enrollment of iOS, iPadOS and macOS devices.
Reporting and alerting of the selected parameters
In FAMOC manage 5.18, we added a continuous reporting and alerting of the selected device monitor parameters for Android devices.
It is available to report below parameters:
/ battery condition - when the reported value is different from the specified (eg. specified: Good, reported: Overheat),
/ battery level - when the reported value is lower than specified 10%-50%,
/ battery temperature - when the reported value is higher than specified 20-100 Celsius degree,
/ battery voltage - when the reported value is higher than specified 2V-10V,
/ charger state - when the reported state is different from the specified (eg. specified: Connected, reported: Not connected),
/ low battery level - when the reported value is equal to the specified (eg. reported and specified that the low battery level is reported),
/ memory RAM free - when reported value is lower than specified 10-50%,
/ signal strength - when reported value is lower than specified (eg. specified: -80dBm, reported: -107dBm).
For each parameter the interval of the reporting (1, 5, 10, 15, 30, 60 minutes) and alerting condition can be set. You can also report only in peak (data will be reported only in peak when the device connects to the server) or all the time.
This feature is especially useful for example for devices in kiosk mode - you can now quickly react when the battery level is low or it is overheated. Thanks to this you will avoid unnecessary downtime in the operation of the device.
Define allow/deny list of the private apps
Now you have a possibility to define allow/deny list of the private apps on WPC devices (corporate-owned devices with work profile - Android 11+). It means that you can define which apps will be available in Google Play store on the private part of the device.
Available app policies are:
/ No application policy - all previously allowed/denied apps will be cleared
/ Allow only applications from the list - listed apps will be shown in Google Play
/ Block applications from the list - listed apps will not be shown in Google Play
There is also another new feature in WPC policy (as well as in BYOD): possibility to enable widgets of company apps (installed in work profile) on device Home Screen.
Support for the USSD codes
We now support the USSD codes for Android devices, so you can easily and remotely manage your telecommunications services from the FAMOC console! Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD), sometimes referred to as "quick codes", is a communications protocol used by GSM phones to communicate with the mobile network operator. In other words it means that now, using FAMOC console, you can check account balance, enabled services, turn on/off the voicemail and many more. Thanks to this feature you can also remotely redirect calls to other phone number during the employee's vacation!
Disable app uninstallation on iOS/iPadOS/tvOS
In FAMOC manage 5.18 you can disable uninstallation of the managed app on iOS, iPadOS and tvOS supervised devices starting from 14.0 platform version. This feature works also for already installed apps on the device.
