Wi-Fi lock can be configured in a device policy. Using public Wi-Fi hotspots can be risky, especially when they require no authentication. FAMOC allows you to block Wi-Fi connection on any device to avoid that risk.
To lock Wi-Fi on a device you must configure Security options. Wi-Fi lock function can be found on the Security options tab in Network policy section.
FAMOC gives you several options:
Network policy | |
Wi-Fi lock | If set, Wi-Fi cannot be used on the device. Availability: Android and Windows Phone 8.1 / 10 devices |
Automatic connection to WiFi hotspots lock | If set, the device will not connect automatically to the WiFi hotspots. Availability: Windows Phone 8.1 / 10 |
WiFi hotspots reporting lock | If set, the device will not report WiFi hotspots. Availability: Windows Phone 8.1 |
Manual WiFi configuration lock | If set, there will be no possibility to configure WiFi connection manually. Availability: Device Owner, iOS devices in the Supervised mode, Windows Phone 8.1/10 |
